Javier Sicilia, the Mexican poet because of the murder of her son no longer wants to write poetry and has mobilized tens of thousands of citizens for peace, justice demands the authorities with a public sit in the middle of a country that is "out of control.
"Ultimately, the president knows he was wrong, but is in a terrible obstinacy. Getting the Army to the streets was foolish," he said in an interview with Efe on the war on drugs waged by fire and sword by Felipe Calderón .
Among the more than 35,000 murders of the drug cartels since the conservative Calderon took office in December 2006 is a son of the poet: Juan Francisco, who was found dead with six other young people, with all the signs of having fallen to a criminal gang.
"Each death has the same dignity that my son," she said, shortly before heading to the protest held in the main square of the city of Cuernavaca (center), to demand justice not only for Juan Francisco, but for all Mexicans .
Mexico, for the poet, nothing "in an overwhelming impunity", which is easy for the police and army criminalize the victims, associate with the cartels and removed the dead man wearing off the issue as a fight over among offenders.
Sicily took to the streets on Wednesday to tens of thousands of Mexicans in seventeen states, more than half of all territories of the nation, with a cry of rage. "We're up to the mother (tired)," read the signs.
The poet does not forget how they came to be part of the equation the killers: "Many of these young murderers are corrupt, because there is no real social or employment policies."
Nor omit to mention the kings of the transfer of drug lords breaking the seven cartels Mexico engaged in war for power regardless of casualties, forgetting honor codes.
"Citizenship is not touched, are flesh and blood people who are holding daily life in this country with his effort," he claimed.
They, the citizens who are just caught in the fire between drug barons and their commands with jeweled weapons, and what he calls the "war obstinacy" of Calderon, who has mobilized some 60,000 soldiers and police.
"We have to rethink the strategy. Unfortunately, the president went on to say that remained in his position, I said it to me personally," he lamented. The poet is in favor of legalizing drugs, and approach the matter as a public health problem.
Sicily the hypocrisy of Mexico and the United States, some to deny the evidence, try to minimize within and outside its borders, believing that "if things are not named does not exist" and others by throwing gasoline on the fire with the sale of weapons and not break the chain links to fall on their land.
Although he lives "very tired", without having been living her grief, Sicily is not intended to move the Zocalo of Cuernavaca, except at night for safety reasons, until next Wednesday, when it has set the authorities of the state of Morelos to satiate their thirst for justice.
"There is little progress. As far as I know, the murderers and they are located, have been issued arrest warrants, but still it is not clear what happened," he said. He positioned himself as an adjuvant in a hypothetical prosecution process, a legal concept which demonstrates the "little confidence in the authorities."
Expected not to be in the position to receive "delincuencillos scapegoats" as is customary in many cases controversial, but above all, do not want that when "this" are finished, return the country "into submission, to the neglect."
